I'll listen to pretty much anything, except rap and country. My favorites are Pink Floyd and Jeff Buckley.

Ali, like yourself, because it's October I've been jammin to a lot of Type O Neg. The band is just too cool for school. Currently I'm listening to the new Avenged SevenFold album.

I'm Heavy all the way. Tool, Avenged, Down (also just released a new album, Over the Under. It's excellent. Good to see Phil back on top of his game.), Type O Neg, Painface, On A Pale Horse, ManOwaR, Hellyeah (come on, it's Vinnie Paul!), Mudvayne, Ministry (new album coming up), Iced Earth (new album last month, I still don't like Ripper)

Whenever someone asks what music I like, i say "The Beatles".

It's the most generic and least controversial band you can ever say you like.

I made it for a music forum I post at where there's a whole bunch of other people who are sad enough to make a list of their favourite songs every year, where there's another dude who is totally insane and compiles them into a forum top 500 at Christmas time :) Sure my ordering is fairly patchy after 100-200 but it was fun to do anyways.

I'm well aware of that; I gave you shit about it LAST time you posted it, too.

I'd rather be forced to listed to "I Will Always Love You" (Whitney Houston version) on an endless loop until my eardrums rupture than read the self-indulgent attention-whoring you call a "favorite music list" OR watch RJ ********** himself raw over Jamiroquai.

Well, quite frankly
Rush, Floyd, Queen, most classic rock, 80's synth pop is great, and barbershop quartets.

Said and done.

Look dude, I didn't ask you to read it, so I don't see what your problem is.

And what's with the attitude? Considering I had no idea who you even were until now, aside from the fact that you have a dumb name, this strikes me as a little odd. Like when Doug came out of the shadows with that wacky thread about the OOT as of 6 months ago.

What exactly is it about the fact that I posted a list of 500 songs that I like that irritates you so much? It seems like the perfect answer to the OP to me, it sums up my taste more accurately than anything else I could possibly think of. And on the off chance that someone with a similar taste might come across it, they might enjoy reading through it.

I didn't post it with any malicious intent or anything like that, I wasn't trying to upset you to start off with, I just posted it. I'm sorry it upset you so much.

By the way, do you like music, BastokFL? I searched for that other music thread where I posted it to see what exactly you meant when you said you gave me shit for it last time. All you did was post "tl;dr" and that's all you said in the whole thread. Hmm.

What's your favourite music? I'm actually interested

About the classical comment, totally agree. Also, my policy tends to be that I don't care what genre music is as long as it's good...but of course certain genres have a higher chance of containing quality music than others. =P

O.O You know what you are talking about, I like you. I'm not sucking up, far from it, lol. It's just, that is my thoughts exactly towards music. I grew up country, but had parents(and their friends) who constantly blasted 60's-70's Rock every chance they could. I got into the whole "Gangsta Rap" bullsh*t in my teen years during the early-mid 90's <I've grown out of that crap for the most part>, along with some Techno and Bass crap during that time. And I've been in the scene of my primary choices I listed above since the mid-late 90's. With Grandparents that listened to Classical with alot of 30's, 40's & 50's music, on one side. And Grandparents that are Super-Religious on the other side of my family, so I go the whole Gospel scene all throughout my life.

So needless to say I got exposed to most of the music genres well before I turned 17 in excess amounts. So I developed my taste in music from pulling from all the music genres.

If it's good, then goddamnit it's good. Regardless of it's genre.^^

Edit: Also as a sidenote. My GF is an Uber Tool fan, she named her firstborn after Maynard James Keenan and also her dog after the guy, lol. So needless to say, when it was announced that Tool was coming to my hometown it wasn't an option not to get floor tickets. And I didn't fail on that either, lol. She also a UBer Alice in Chains fan too, but I just tagged along to that concert last year in Denver, as I am not really a fan of their music.

You know what makes my daily commute much more enjoyable?

When I come across a carload of todays crap-rap listeners at a stoplight wiether they are white, black, or mexican whatever and they are listening to that **** at more than 70 Decibals, I do this, it's fun^^:

I put in my {Around the Fur} CD, put it on {My own Summer} and crank it. And the looks I get from these idiots when the sounds of the guitars hits and then the screaming starts, just makes my day^^

Also Tool works just as well, but the screaming from Chino just makes is more enjoyable. Also Static X's {Destroy All}, and anything White Zombie works in a pinch as well, if I can't find my Tool or Deftones CDs quick enough. Mudvayne I would try, but I kinda lost interest in them awhile ago so I don't have any Mudvayne CDs anymore. And barring my Hatebreed CDs, I don't have anything else that is that loud, vocals and guitar wise. I tried some Pennywise and Soulfly before but they don't get the same responses as Tool or the Deftones do.

Just the look on these idiots faces when they have to listen to my music choices over theirs, just makes me feel good. Considering they are trying to make everyone else listen to their **** music everywhere they go. I am more than pleased to return the favor. LOL. It's fun^^

I listen to weird music from every genre except rap and electronica and stuff made after 1975. I also like classical music and anime soundtracks, and jazz. Genres don't matter to me cause I listen to everything.

favourite artists:

Some heavy metal group
Some emo band
Miles Davis
Beethoven
Some anime soundtrack composer
FFXI soundtrack composer
Some J-pop group
Pink Floyd
some local band
some foreign stuff

LOL, you know ever since I started watching Inu Yasha, and Full Metal when it was on Adult Swim. I have been kinda getting into some of that music. It sticks in my head, and I can't get it out. But then again I find Japanese women sexy when they speak their native language, so that might be it too.

LOL, I love Japanese women, sexy as can get. And Indonesian women too, sexy sexy, sexy. Mmm, Mmmm, good. Possibilities.

That damned commercials song was stuck in my head. I had to, because it applies to my desire for a nice Japanese sandwich style encounter
