So I'm in A School today. I'm working on Communication Systems; SATCOM, UHF, SHF trancievers and the like and out of no where the instructor is like I'm quizzing you tomorrow on Uniform Regulations...

I was the only one in my class with an outstanding today for uniform inspect and I get boned with a quiz Smiley: mad

And also as I'm looking through the index for Comm Sys theres a note about how their not gonna teach us something but its WIDELY used in the fleet...

gah! can't wait till I'm finished with A school.

Just a word of advice, learn the uniform regs, both male and female. They WILL be on almost every advancement exam you will take. Oh and A school is a joke you will get taught about all the outdated stuff you will never use int he navy, live with it.

And if you are just now learning tha the Navy is illogical you are way behind the curve. One more thing you will find that mass punishment is the cool thing to do in the navy.

Sogoro, how long is your A-schooling? Mine will end up being about 3 months. I'm actually glad it'll be that long because that way I can stay somewhat near certain people, 3-4 hours away to be exact.

I've got about a month left. I'm hoping for the 2M C school to work with micro electronics, fixing circuit boards on the small scale.

I really don't feel like working with Comms or Radar.

Try Aircraft Maintenance- 9 Months of Schooling in 3 different places.

Go figure 3 months out of that I move and change career fields... 3 Months more schooling.

I was a C-130 Crew Chief

Basically, I was tought to fix everything, and if I couldn't, I called the specialist.

No longer a Crew Chief, now an Information Warfare Aggressor

So you were AirCrew?? Last I can remember Crew Chief was not a specific rate?

I am an AD or aviation machinest mate. Or an engine mechaninc, if I cant fix it I make the AE's read them damn wries again and make them fix it cuz it was never my problem to begin with.
