Rent Elebits. Also, give Super Paper Mario a shot. Don't forget you can also play Gamecube games on the system. Now might be a good time to play Metroid Prime 1 & 2 before jumping in the final in the trilogy. I also highly recommend Smash Brothers Melee, Zelda Wind Waker. That's pretty much all I can come up with off the top. If they come out on virtual console, get Earthbound and Super Mario RPG. Mario The Lost Levels is always a blast to jump into.

OK, apparently I made a relatively uneducated purchase. You can play.. ALL.. game cube games on the Wii? Like, it's totally backwards compatible?

Hehe yep. I think you need a game cube memory card however...but I'm not sure about that.

Well color me happy! According to this article, all you need is a game cube controller.. the rest comes with the Wii package. I never had a GameCube, so this opens up a whole additional set of games I can consider. Weeeeeeeeee!

That was overly happy really, but I'd try animal crossing, resident evil 4, and super smash brothers for gamecube games. I liked zelda: windwaker a lot, but most didn't.

Sequal to Namco's Tales of Symphonia, coming out only for the Wii. Looks to be a fairly decent game. Of course I liked the first one for the Gamecube.

...got the kidlets this console for their birthday... Raving Rabbids and Trauma Unit have been my faves so far personally... other than the Wii Sports that comes with the console, but baseball seems to bring out the worst ***** slapping in the household (thank gods for the wrist strap else I'd have gone through 10 tele's).

Zelda was okay, but kinda' on the easy side... haven't done the Metroid thing yet... but after 300 buckaroos... hoping things will pick up in the next year or two.
