My husband is already frothing at the mouth for this. Not sure why, I got him GH II for his birhtday and he played it for two days straight then didn't touch it for two weeks.

I had him scared last night because I was under the impression that it wasn't coming out for the PS2, which would mean not only buying the game but two more guitars as well. Thankfully, it's coming out for the PS2 so I just have to pay for an overpriced DVD.

It is indeed on the PS2, which is what I bought it for. I would have bought it for the 360 but I already have 2 guitars and didn't want to drop another $150 on two more guitars.

On a side note, Dragonforce is f'in HARD.

I saw you playing Katamari this weekend Senjiow! I was too busy getting my fill of the Orange box.

Also: Rock Band will blow a giant hole in the franchise that is Guitar Hero. Just get me in front of the drums and GH will cease to exist.

GH3 is not what I Thought it would be. I've noticed in some songs (Barracuda being one) that the beat just sometimes won't match up with the button commands.

I loved GH2, but I think when one of the creators left, it went downhill.

Rockband looks good, but will probably end up being more of the same.

I was going to get it for PS2, but Gamestop was giving I think 25% extra when you traded in GHs and guitars, and I got a job there, so even more credit.

Does the PS2 version have an internet play? I mainly went for 360 'cause of that, and I thought it would be kind of dumb to get it on the Wii because I dont know anyone else with one.

So it's not just me? I noticed on some songs if I strummed to the beat like I usually do, I get ahead of the song.

No internet on the PS2, but like I said in the above post, I can't bring myself to spend another 150$ just on some more guitars.

Honestly the lead singers mouth/whole look creeps me out. I don't even want to look at him anymore.

And Guitar Hero will have nothing on Rock Band.

I heard that there are "bosses" to beat in GH3. Is that as stupid as I figure it is?
#16 Oct 29 2007 at 10:23 AM Rating: Good
I have this weird feeling the GH3 will beat Rock Band in sales.. One simple reason WII. We got ours on Sunday morning. There were 6 people at this really out of the way Gamestop getting it. Only one person didn't get it for Wii. So far, I like it. I'm gonna blow major *** doing online play, but it'll still be fun.

I just did one at work (Yes, I can play games at work, I own the damn place.)

It wasn't too bad, think of a guitar battle, as stupid as it sounds, it's actually kind of fun.

That was actually the second best part of the game. The last battle is just a freaking BLAST!

And don't set your guitar down when the credits start to roll, trust me on this.

My roommate got it for X360, and while I've never really played any of the GH games, I think GHIII has the best selection and variety of songs.

I saw them ten years ago and until recently, I considered it one of the best shows I attended. The energy was crazy. Since Sing the Sorrow was released, I pretty much refuse to listen to anything new. My brother told me they don't even perform their 90's catalog anymore. That makes me sad. Smiley: frown

The song in GH3 sounds more like any pop-punk group you can hear on your top 40 station nowadays.

Through the fire and the Flames is about to make my fingers fall off... Online is fun and challenging, and the final guitar battle was incredibly fun.
