The newer industral countrys like china are nuking our enviorment at an alarming rate. There are places there that are enviormently dead. Toxic lakes included.

Industrializing countries are a far far smaller part of the problem than we would like to believe. It's true enough that china and other developing countries have serious environmental issues, but their consumption and pollution is, by and large, not what is ******** us.

BTW: the largest dead zones in the world exist because of the actions of first world countries, not China/India etc.

We've damaged this planet...but I think it will end up killing us to heal itself. Fires in california, lava and earthquakes...it will find a way to eradicate our race. Good riddance.

A good book that deals with how we are on the verge of cultural collapse is Ishmael. The author Daniel Quinn has actually written quite a few books on the issue. I have only read Ishmael, Story of B, and My Ishmael. All are very good and I highly recommend them.

When I was working at a nuclear power plant, the things I saw in there from the workers was ridiculous. I honestly think the only way that the earth will be in decent shape is if we start a world war and wipe out all of technology.

Or you know, people actually listen...but the first one will probably happen first.

I should probably point out that when I say "give out" I mean "become inhospitable for humans". The earth will be fine long after we're gone, I'm just wondering how long we have left and if we'll bring about our own destruction or if we'll just fade out from something else (genetic illness, plague, etc).
