ill post back later after it cools so i can drink it.

OMG is this stuff strong. very smooth, rich in both color and flavor. a bit of a bitter taste at first, but after i had about 1/3 of the bier down i started pulling in more air as i filled my mouth with the bier and the bitter went away replaced with a fantastic flavor that is smooth and a bit sweet.

of my top biers this now ranks up there with them.

if you get a chance and have the extra cash (roughly $20 for a 4 pack) it is money well spent if you like it strong and rich with a bit of a sweet taste. do remember to get extra air in the mouth to counter the bitters.

enjoy.

ill add one more thing about this bier. i have never drank a single bier that has made me this tipsy before. this is as tipsy as i would get if i had 4 - 6 biers in less then 1hr without having eaten anything for the past 8+ hours.

great stuff as long as you take in air as you gather a mouthful. good stuff.

This is what I was drinking last night.

Good stuff, although after a dozen or so it could taste like burnt diarrhea and I'd never notice.

Yes, it is DAMN good stuff.

But then I just Smiley: inlove Deschutes Brewery in general...

My day consisted of Newcastle Brown Ale, followed by Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde, followed by Samuel Adams Winter Lager.
Somewhere in there was an interesting 5+ hours of Skype.

LoL

last night was 2 of the 14% ALC/VOL biers, followed by 2 of the IPAs i linked above. woke up with a nasty hangover. seeing how i normally only drink 1 - 2 biers at a time, to have 2 @8% along with 2 @ 14% i was bad and did not have enough water before i drank that much bier.

time to get started on my brew. the yeast has been in the starter wort since Thr. afternoon. wish me luck. ill take pics and post em as i go along.

My roommate's beer is in a dark place , fermenting.
Just about another week and She'll be good to go.
I think they went for something overly nutty flavored.

nice, so ready to bottle in a week, then a few weeks to age before they ready to drink.

you need to add the bottling sugar yet and then allow the remaining yeasts to top off the bottle and raise the ALC/VOL %
