What channel was it on? And when?

I've seriously never heard of it, so it can't be that amazing.

I liked the show. it was funny and something different than the usual crappy saturday tv shows.
Now "The Manx?" that was totally off the wall!

Freakazoid's theme song was fantastic.

I loved The Tick, though.

Earthworm Jim,
The soil he did crawl
Earthworm Jim,
A super suit did fall.

Jim was just a dirt eating,
Chewing length of worm, flash
But all that came to a crash
And gave him lots of power

Earthworm Jim,
He's such a groovy guy
Earthworm Jim,
He rockets through the sky

Cruising through the universe
Having lots of fun,
Here comes Earthworm Jim you know
That he's the mighty one
--- Look out ---

la la la la la, la la la la la, la la la....

Despite his great big muscles
And his really big ray gun,
Jim is still an Earthworm
But then he's the only one,

With a super suit to make him really super strong,
Jim can be a winner if we only sing along...
(alright)

Earthworm Jim,
We think he's mighty fine
Earthworm Jim,
A hero for all time

Earthworm,

Earthworm,

Earthworm Jim
Hooray for Jimmmmmmm

Didn't they try a live-action version with whatshisname... Putty from Seinfeld?

And for some reason, when I think of The Tick, I also think of The Critic and Duckman.

They did, and it really wasn't awful. Not the same as the animated version, of course, but not awful.

Yeah, and I thought Putty (I don't know his real name; he'll forever be Putty to me) was perfect for the role.

The Tick toon and TV show were cool lol. Good stuff from back in the day.
I went as The Tick once for Halloween, I was a fat tick...some kid made fun of me...i smashed a pumpkin over his head and took his candy.
man...that was a good night.

As for freakazoid? All i remember from that toon was a chick in my 5th grade class that sung that song all the dam time.
I was glad she fell in love with pokemon a few years later...was way better then her acting like that blue freak.
She needed a pumpkin to the head too, but she was so odd i feared her a tad.
