To network my windows PC with my Linux PC and get the windows PC to print to the printer attached to the linux PC.

I'm sorry, I love linux, but that should have been a three button job, not a 4.5 hour ~~drunken~~ educational journey in editing configuration files in a text editor and installing files that are as descriptive as nmdb, cupsys and smbd.

Now I just have to find a replacement paper tray for my HP LaserJet 1200 so I don't have to hold the paper in place with my ~~beer~~ left hand.
