According to an astronomer friend at college there is supposed to be a meteor shower tonight around the area of Orion's left (your left) shoulder at around 12 central. Its called the Orionid Meteor Shower, it happens every year, lasts for a few days and peaks at around the 21st. If you happen to have binoculars (kaain), they will help you see more of them.
Just an option of something to look for as an excuse to lay out under the stars a bit, if you can see them.
