But, when 2x (percentage wise) more black people have a baby in their teens and 2.5x more black children are living with a single parent, I'd say that's more likely.
Living with a single parent doesn't automatically make you poor, on welfare, or ignorant, you ****.

My beef is not with you saying that, on average, there are more African Americans living in poverty than there are white people. I would agree with that.
I'm saying that just because they are poor, that doesn't mean that they are ignorant, intentionally remaining on welfare, or more violent.

Well right before I posted this, I saw this post and Was utterly shocked so here I go.

Ok This sh*t pisses me off, I am Black. I spent six years active duty and now I just got out, going to college full time. Now, most black people around the US yes, had bad times, let me give you an example... this link right here, http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/10/11/youth.violence/index.html
in my opinion this has to do with where they live and people giving up AROUND them. No one has a perfect life. NO ONE.
This is true, I will not deny this, my sister got prego at 16 years old... and prego again at 18, 20 and 24.... By 4 different guys! Now, of course things "could have" worked out its none of my busness, but I can tell you something that something she is not doing. SHE IS NOT ON WELFARE AND NEVER WAS. She has lived in some bad places and bounced around alot, but she is starting to get on her feet, gotta love that sterotype. She is going to school WHILE having to take care of these kids (thankfully all of the fathers are paying attention to all of thier kids now...) She is almost done with her Bachlor's btw.
WHAT IN THIS BLUE HELL IS THIS? What about Martin Luther King JR.? Rosa Parks? Barack Obama? Avery Brooks(my role model). And I know there is MANY more. It is a shame that alot of the youth today, not JUST blacks are falling into the gangbanger role. How can you say Black people have messed priorites! I must be really messed up for getting out of the Navy and actually making a life for myself. You can tell that to my BLACK mentally challenged brother as well. Man you don't know sh*t. Ignorance like this just pisses me off. Everyone is different and that is something I am proud of. I am glad I am not like the "sterotypical" black guy. But just becuase they enjoy what they like or do what they do, do NOT assume all BLACKs (African Americans) are the damn same.

Sure, I agree that more black people than white people live in poverty, and that because of that they are more likely to live in a violent neighborhood.
I do not agree, however, that simply being poor makes you more likely to get into drugs or commit crimes. That's where it stops. There's really no reason to assume that what you believe is a fact.
