Whiskey in the Jar-OFollow

#1 Oct 19 2007 at 6:55 AM Rating: Good
In preparation for the weekend i have found myself wondering what bottle of whiskey to enjoy for the next two days. Rather than fall back on my usuals i thought i'd ask other whiskey drinkers what their favorites are.

Mine are as follows:

JD Single Barrel (if i'm feeling spendy)
Pendelton
Makers Mark (if i'm feeling angry)
Crown Royal
Red Label
Jack Daniels
Baileys in coffee (if i need a pick me up without that pesky sobriety thing)

So if i'm missing out on any good whiskeys i should try, please let me know

A good smoky single-malt scotch. Laphroaig if you like the smoky peat flavor, or Oban if not.

ITT: We learn Samira is approximately 67 years old.

And I'm not a whiskey fan, so I'll be of no help here.

Baileys+Bacardi+milk.

Sounds disgusting I know, but a friend of mine made it a couple of days ago, and it was freaking delicious.

I haven't tried either of these. I will have to see if the liquor store i frequent carries them.

I'm not sure what a "peat" flavor would be. Just reminds me of Peat Bog from EQ2.

i really dropped the ball on the

/in before Sora says "Beer" =)

Should have seen that comming /shakes head

I've grown fond of Caol Ila islay whiskey myself. Too bad I only find halfbottles over here (I don't know the English term for half-sized booze bottles).

Regarding whiskey, I've pretty much always stuck to Jack. However, I did try one at a recent Scottish/Irish festival, I think it was called Glennfidditch (not sure if that's spelled right). It's pricey stuff though, cheapest bottle I found at the local liquor store was like $60.

This is a good one too. As is Glenlivet, Dalwhinnie, Glenkinnchie. I think Lagavulin is my favourite though.

If I absolutely have to drink Whisky...I don't drink...

I much prefer beer, coolers & Drifters(a highly alcoholic mix drink I made that doesn't taste like alcohol).
