How has the last 4 years of your life been? With the Presidential issue and all. For one, me and my family's company has been doing the best it has ever had. I havent met one person effected by nations numbers on unemplyoment or economic problems. That's one reason I never would vote on them. I also feel that Bush doesn't lies as much as any president or even less. I couldnt stand having Clinton in office just for his affair reason. It didn't matter what he did, it made me not trust him or like him. I find alot of democrats just jump in a bandwagon and run with it. For instance, most of them at my college will bash Bush all day, but not have one reason on why they dont like him except he doesnt speak well. And i think Kerry plays on that emotion. I've already talked to some people about the debate, and some of them were Kerry followers, but think he's a joke now. They said all he did was attack bush instead of trying to go in depth about his plans. I kind of feel the same way. For a debate, i didn't get any information about the candidates. Only that Kerry thinks bush is bad like i didnt know he thought that already. I guess if everyone wants to listen to the media and numbers then Kerry will win, but i go by how my life has gone the past few years.

We have this thing called a paragraph.

It adds clarity.

You should try it.

Now, to address your statements because I DID wade through all of that, and feel that I MUST reply after committing myself to all that eyestrain.

Kerry really doesn't have a platform.

His entire running campaign is 'I'm not George Bush.'

His answer to almost every single question is 'I would do the same thing, but it would be better because I did it.'

In short, Kerry looked better overall at the debate, but he's still a dead fish. This election isn't even a contest any more. Something titanic would have to happen to turn it now.

Its true, Kerry is screwed. The polls have Bush up by about 4%-8%, but you gotta take into account that those polls are being taken by an extremely liberal media. Fox news is the way to go, liberals think it's too conservative, conservatives think it is too liberal. Ahh, finally balance.

(New Paragraph->) On a second note, everyone I know is pro-Bush, but then again I live in an upper-class neighborhood in Texas......

What most people fail to realize is that their locally elected officials have far more impact on their lives than the President ever could. The unemployment rate, nationally is lower than when Clinton ran for his second term. Why didn't anyone complain about that then? It was about 7.7% then. Now why is it that the media just love to interview people that say the economy is bad when a Republican is in office? I will tell you why. About 85% of Journalists are of the Democratic pursuasion. Fact.

BTW, I'm doin' ok right now. Not because of George W. Bush or anyone in Washington D.C. I am doing ok because I work hard, I supply a quality service at a fair price. I don't blame my ups or downs on others. That makes me self-reliant and by necessity optimistic.

People like to talk about the loss of manufacturing jobs in the U.S. Here is why we no longer dominate in that arena. You see, all through modern history, the countries that are now taking our manufacturing jobs were not yet emergent. Now they are. Is it really any politician's fault that some guy in Mexico is willing to do your job at less than half the price you are? What control does a politician have over what someone gets paid in Mexico?

I'm sure the guys that made Buggy-whips were not too happy when everyone started buying Model-T's either. It is the way it goes. Economies change and you have to change with them.

The last four years of my life have actually been wonderful. I've been able to find work and get a very nice promotion in that time, I own my own house, my child goes to one of the best schools in the city, and my husband make a nice salary working for a scum sucking injury lawyer (who incidentally is a Bush fan, even though Bush is very against everything my husband does for a living).

I'm finally financially stable enough to contribute anually to my IRA, put some cash into savings, and buy some nice, expensive grown up toys (I love my new laptop). Next year we are adding on to the house and finishing the attic, and the year after that it will time for a new car.

Yup, life's been good for 4 years. I wouldn't mind 4 more of the same.

My work place became unionized. We have been able to negotiate fair raises, fair health benefits and fair starting pay.

No longer can we be written up or fired because of a bosses personal bias's. No longer does the supervisor have control over who gets what in raises in the department, allowing for fair division of money based on seniority.

My old boss left shortly after we went union and the attitude in the work place is much better because our new supervisor is a good guy who understands the hard work going on aroun him, and he works to protect his employees from other managers who don't have a clue as to what we do in my department.

I had my car stolen. That wasn't fun, second time it has happened in my life.

I have moved to a new house. Had Niklas my scottie pass away, adopted Dallas a mix terrier from the pound and have bought for me Bear a scottie from Montana.

I have my first cell phone, and broad band internet.

Most of things on here I could not afford had it not be for a union in the work place, as my work place was offering about a 1%raise before and now I have recieved about 17% over the last 3 years.

The dog situation and car are probably not related to anything to do with economics.
