The Best James BondFollow

#1 Sep 25 2004 at 9:18 PM Rating: Decent
O, im just here to say that everyone who thinks Brosnan is the best Bond is a moron (im gonna catch heat for that one) Don't get me wrong, he's not bad, but all the new movies are nothing but 95% action/shooting/explosions and 5% storyline. Brosnan has got the "look" of Bond, but Connery is where its at.

Edit- The Names of the Actors are
1.) Sean Connery
2.) George Lazenby
3.) Roger Moore
4.) Timothy Dalton
5.) Peirce Brosnan

Although Connery was the first Bond, I don't think that he was the best one either. My vote goes for Roger Moore. Brosnan's only good flick was Goldeneye, and Timothy Dalton isn't even worth thinking about. I can't even tell you the name of the 5th guy to play Bond; he sucked that much.

Now I havent seen all the James Bond movies but ive seen quite a few. And I dont know the names of the actors that well either.

But I do know Brosnan is okay at it...and I agree Goldeneye was his good one. Connery was good but not the best. Whoever played the one in Octopussy was good. Octopussy is a good James Bond movie.

Incase that was blurred: Octopussie*

That would be George Lazenby, and yes he sucked that bad. He couldn't handle the pressure of Bond, so he quit after 1 film.

That would be Roger Moore. The best Bond IMO.

Brosnan runs like a girl. He and Moore are both too pretty to be Bond. Connery all the way. Everyone else pales in comparison.

Brosnan wasn't that bad. Sean Connery was the best bond, IMO, because of the accent alone. I also heard that Pierce wasn't going to be doing it anymore, so they have to find a new one if they want to keep it going.

Although I hated Roger Moore as Bond, Fleming had Moore in his mind as bond in the later books after watching 'The Saint'.

Connery was the best.

Don't forget David Niven in Casino Royale - crap, but a Bond none the less.

My Character name is Seanconnery so odviously i say my main man SC is the best. Although the others were good only he can trully capture the true eccence of Bondness being the first.

It's a close tie between Moore and Connery for me.
Moore seemed to really bring the role home, but Sean just does it for me. I didn't like Dalton too much, I guess he was ok but none too memorable. I think had Lazenby not starred in "In Her Majasty's Secret Service" he would've been better off, the movie it's self was pretty bad. (Though if you know a little Bond history, you know that in the very first of the books Bonds wife was killed, which was the cause of him being a womanizer.)

I liked Pierce actually, I think he could've brought a little more than what he had, but over all I was satisfied with what he's done for the role. The next guy in-line will have his work cut out for him.

Roger moore was the best bond.

I have heard rumors that Quentin Terrintino(apologize for ******* that spelling up) is going to direct the next bond movie. He made Kill Bill if you didn't know who he was. Who thinks this movie would be great or suck?

It would suck. Quentin Tarentino is good at the types of movies he makes. I don't think he could do a Bond flick properly.

Ok, thank you all for posting. Quentin Tarrintino is not gonna direct the next movie... Thats just dumb (no offense). The same crew has done all of the movies since the start. Also, I am the biggest Bond fan since sliced bread (lol), I've read all the books. Bond never had a wife until "Her Majesty's Secret Service" book. It actually wasnt a bad book, really good if you ask me. ::final thought:: Lazenby just F&#@$d that one up.

lol obviously the "best" bond would be George Lazenby.
and by "best"... i mean... "so terrable that he should be shot in the head many times"

that little joke aside.

I think the Conery is the best flat out. Brosnan is alright, however film making tech. has come a long way since they started the movies, so thats why much of his success would play in, at least in my mind.

As far as far as Quentin Tarrintino... well the only thing i have to say is i am going to make a movie "Kill Quentin..." for all the bad jokes he made me indure do to that stupid movie and it's stupid sequal.

I like Sean Connery. I think Timothy Dalton only did about 2 Bond movies? Not quite sure but one or two. Moore was pretty good. He takes that "minimalist" approach to acting. But I have to give it to Connery.

And yes, Hugh Jackman would make a great Bond. That dude has talent and I bet he would know just how to wear a Tuxedo...

Sean all the way: 1)he was the only bond who actually had the attitudeto get the girl, the rest are just pretty boy wanna-be clone, 'cept for lazenby he was ugly and a bad actor.

2) he's the only one who seems like he has the balls to withstand even a pistol's recoil. Come on, Peirce has got those ciggarette arms.

3) come on, he's freakin SEAN CONNERY!
