T'was watching this show called gamezville on sky1 or something, and there was a bald headed chap talking about manic miner, which goes way back when computer games first came out. He was getting really excited about it and was talking about how it was one of the first games to have, moving icons on screen, and sound and music playing at the same time, I wasn't thinking much at this point, until he said some **** like..."I used to play this game for hours on end, through the day, into the morning"
WHAT A SAD ****...how the **** can anyone stand a repititive boring relentless game like that for hours on end baffles me, I can't even play most of my favourite games (CounterStrike,Quake3,EQ)into the morning without a urge for yawning (not because im tired but because of boredom). Don't get me wrong those retro games are fun, but not hours on end fun, Asteroids,Pitfall,manic miner...people who play these games into the early morning of the hours didn't discover the females or ************* And these ******** go around today trying to preach to younger kids in game shops about the "good ol'e days"...well if they're good days, these days are ******* excellent. Games today are far better by the RETRO ones, thats undeniable considering the amount of people have gotten involved in gaming now. Aww FFS Retro sucks....[b][/b]

Actually, anything that is "cutting edge" at the time will get the attention of "geeks like us". You should have seen it when they invented fire! Man, we were all over it, sitting around, staring at it until almost dawn! Sometimes, we'd break out marshmallows, or BBQ a rat! Boy, those were some good times...
