Being funny isnt a bad thing.

Carey is actually all right. Hardly one of the worst actors ever; same for Meyers.

For a truly horrible actor; Keanu Reeves.

Actually I agree, His movies are pretty cool, but He himself is a crappy actor. Not the worst though.

Matrix 1 was good. Matrix 2 and 3 sucked.

I just can't stand actors who try too hard to be funny. Meyers has been in some ok roles (Wayne's World) and some down right horrible ones (Cat in the Hat).

I have never though Jim Carey was funny, he's more along the lines or retarded in my book. He can't even pull off a semi-serious role (The Majestic, The Truman Show).

Chris Farley is the same way. Everytime he came on in a skit on SNL I changed the channel because he isn't funny to me. I hated his movies, especially the ones with David Slade.

And speaking of David Slade, his last decent role was on the TV Show "Just Shoot Me".

Not really Keanu's fault, he can act what people write for him.

Not defending him or anything, but he's just a medium grade actor in my book. Although Constantine looks good. But if he say's "Whoa" in it, i'm asking for my money back.

Keanu Reeves Is BRUTAL. I was watching that movie with him and that goddamn bus with the bomb. Everything he said was monotone and had the same emotion. And what was his emotion level you may ask? Zero. I would rather watch the Ya Ya Siterhood than lower my emotion level by 3 couts for every word that comes out of that guy's mouth -_-. Just my opinion ^^;;

Keanu Reeves' best work was in Bill & Ted. The Replacements wasn't too bad, either...

Kevin Costner, on the other hand... He somehow succeeds despite himself. Some of his movies have been very enjoyable, but it's been because of who he surrounds himself with rather than anything he does.

Worst Actors

Nicholas Cage
French Stewart
Matt Leblanc

Worst Actresses

Halle Berry
Julia Roberts
Sandra Bullock

I just base these opinions on the fact that they always seem to play the same personality in every one of their movies/tv shows and don't really give flavor to the screen. I threw Halle Berry in there because she is spiraling downhill fast. Being cast as Storm was one of the worst career moves ever.

There is a hell of alot worse actors/actresses than these six. I don't agree with Halle nor do I with Julia roberts. (Two Oscar winners)

And I definitly don't agree with Cage. Have YOU seen the Rock. That movie was ******* sweet.

/sigh

That's just my opinion of their talent. I tend to have high standards at $8.00 a movie ticket these days. Winning an oscar nowadays, to me, doesn't mean ****. Most of the awards that are given I no longer agree with. The last one I think I did is when Russel Crowe received one for A Beautiful Mind. Just because I think that they aren't a good actor/actress doesn't mean I won't watch the movies. The Rock was awesome, X-Men was a good movie, because I got to see all of my old favorite comic characters on screen. Acting doesn't make or break a movie for me these days, but when asked my opinion about it, I won't pull any punches.

I have to go with Keanu as well. For his absolute worst performance (and to disprove Haggan's comment that 'he can [only] act what people write for him') see him in 'Much Ado About Nothing'.

Excellent adaptation of the Shakespeare play, and his lack of ability is highlighted by being up against Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson, Richard Briers and Denzel Washington (amongst others).

My least favourite female actress is Julia Roberts, although I have to say she redeemed herself a bit with 'Erin Brokovich'. Prior to that, I'd only seen her laugh, cry and scream her way through every single role she played.

I also have to disagree with a couple of folk who suggested Jim Carrey. While he did earn his reputation as a 'kooky' actor, check out his performances in 'Man on The Moon', 'Bruce Almighty' and 'Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind'. Real depth and versatility, and I do think that 'The Truman Show' was grossly underrated due to his reputation going before him. Just my opinion, as ever! Smiley: smile

Yeah, Keanu Reeves ranks right up there with the worst, but my all time least favorite actor is Vinnie Barbarino... err, I mean John Travolta. Basically he's just a slightly different version of Vinnie Barbarino in every role he plays. Everything he says reminds me of someone who's just regained consciousness after a severe blow to the head.

Julia Roberts is also my least favorite actress. Her entire ability to act is confined to her eyebrows. She's putrid.

Russel Crowe was nominated for best actor, but he didn't win. Denzel Washington won in Training Day. A Beautiful Mind did win best picture though.
