Just curious, but what are your guys's thoughts on this game.

I personally like it, and it's a good way to take a break from FFXI.

It's a bit slow to start, but rather fun, in my opinion. The one thing it's missing so far is the concurrent storyline that the previous Star Ocean on PS1 had, where you could choose one of two main characters and watch the storyline unfold from two slightly different perspectives (And where you could find out just what the other character was doing while they were absent from the party).

Other than that, the only thing that somewhat disappoints me is the AI for the computer-controlled characters. All I really wish for is a command to 'fight whatever I'm not so you don't get in my way'.

Tell me about it Ramien. I'm starting to believe that "Attack with all your might!" is actually. "Follow me like a lost child, and mess up my combos...alot." Yay for Maria and long range goodness. The battle system is awesome. One of the best i've ever seen.

I'm not that far yet, but so far the story is pretty interesting. But I haven't seen any surprises yet, and the way it's going I don't expect any either. Guess i'll have to wait and see though.

I set everyone to 'Act in a Well-balanced manner', Which helps a little in that regard, although my combos do end up getting interrupted towards the end anyways. Although, once you figure out what each character is likely to do, it is possible to open up some really fun combos. I do wish they'd learn better MP conservation tactics, though, particularly against foes that do MP damage with their attacks.
