The truth is scooters are a government sponsored euthanasia program, even if nobody recognises it as such. In the medical field it is commonly known that a large percentage of elderly patients who give up their own personal mobility for motorized mobility die within six months to a year after they do so.

Between the lack of blood circulation and muscle exercise --even as little as shuffling along gives --is more than driving along on a Lark gives. There is growing evidence that the psychological impact of motorized mobility further harms the patient due to a perceived sense of loss of function.

Scary stuff, really. Think twice before you put your parents on one. Unless you want that inheritance...
