Don't the Canadians win every year?

I mean, they eat ice hockey for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Acctually Canada doesnt win everything. The Gold medal they won in the olympics in 2002 was their first Gold Medal in 50 years. During that span the USSR was the dominant force in hockey. Also the last World Cup of Hockey was won by the US.

It was however, a great game and they deserved the win. They dominated the whole tournment. They also had lots of youth on the ice so it shows they will be a talented team for many years to come.

Its sad that this will be the last of profesional hockey for some time. It looks inevitable that the owners are going to lock out the players tomorrow. Both sides need to get their heads out of theirs ***** and get the CBA worked out.

I'm gonna miss my hockey ;_;. But it leaves me a crapload of 3 hour spans to play ffxi ^^.

And yes, that gold medal in 2002 was our first gold medal in hockey for 50 years so we had a right to be extremely overjoyed. And we do happen to basically suck in everything else. But at least we have one thing! Oh, and lacrosse. But no one really cares about lacrosse... :P

Hey faule, do you play hockey?

I was just curious. My boss is from PEI and he was extremely pleased with their victory. I wish the US could have beaten Finland so it could have been a rematch of the World Cup. But it was a great game none the less. Ive been playing for 8 years now. Only made it Juniors though, wish I would have started younger.

I did. And after I had a nostalgic rub-out, I took a shower. She was hot in her day. Now she just spends her time rolling minivans with kids in them. Why couldn't she have gone out like Dana Plato?

Huh. Even as a younger man, I never found Ms. Gold to be all that hot. She didn't look like a mutant or anything (despite the zany zingers of her television brother Mike Seaver) but she wasn't exactly the stuff dreams were made of.

I haven't seen any recent pictures of her though. And I thought of making a "too skinny" joke, but decided it was too easy.

And is Seaver spelled correctly?

She had that '80's big hair thing going on and was cute in a chubby kind of way. Ms. Gold seemed to me to be the type of girl you'd meet at a high school friend's party, you'd spend the evening plying her with drinks, and then when the moment was right trying to surreptitiously figure out if her bra was clasped in the front or the back, all the while hoping your inept fumbling didn't spoil the mood.

/shakes his head and snaps to the present

Did I say that aloud?

I've been there, bro*. Fumbling about, wondering what sort of Chinese mystery bra she's wearing when she rolled her eyes, hiked up her shirt to undo it from the front and put her shirt back down. A humbling way to start a night of teenage bedroom shennanigens, let me tell you.

* Well, not with Tracey Gold. It was Alyssa Milano from her Who's the Boss? days

I seem to recall thinking that Tracy's sister had potential. What ever happened to her?

Don't get me started on Alyssa Milano. I'd do things to her I wouldn't do to a small farm animal.

I'd like to think there's a LOT of things you'd do to a woman that you'd refrain from doing to small farm animals Smiley: eek
