Man, the weather in southern US has been rough this last month. I live in Canada, last time there was a natural disaster/storm was 14 years ago. (That actually hit Edmonton)

This is why I live in the Midwest. We just have tornadoes that come down, knock your house over, and leave. None of this waiting a week for the storm to finally reach you and knock your house down crap. We're far too busy for that Smiley: wink

This is all an act from god. Why does the US deserve this? Only god knows why. My heart goes out to all the innocent people that die.

Everything that happens is through God of course. You'd have to believe in God if you know what i'm saying. I don't have all the answers. God does.

We had a couple mini-tornadoes in Northern Illinois several months ago. 0 Deaths. 2 Injured.

I think the last major tornado in Illinois was 20-50 years ago.

So unless Lake Michigan goes surfer-tsunami on us, I'm guessing we're pretty much fine.

Eight dead in Utica after the tornado went through there in April. Not to mention property damage.

Anyway, I'm not trying to start a pissing match about which is worse; obviously a hurricane packs more widely destructive power. I was just pointing out in a tongue in cheek manner that it has to suck knowing for a week that something is coming to knock your house down. Though at least you know to get out of your house before it happens.

Haggan! Are you there? Are you above water? How hard is it raining? Any flooding yet? The radar looks nasty, but I don't know where you are actually located...

Haggan seems to have lost power. His college classes got cancelled and he was going to work all day. But he disappeared around noon and haven't seen him since. :(

Pfffpht, you all think hurricanes are bad, try surviving a Chicago winter. 45mph winds and temperatures of -10* F, and that's without the windchill!
