There always seem to be a lot of games in development, and just about ready for beta testing and release. Then they vanish.
I don't trust any MMO actually exists until it hits the retail shelves, so I try not to get my hopes up for any of them. That being said, Wish looks promising. So does MEO (Middle Earth Online). But I don't think I'll start playing another without quitting EQ first.

one mmorpg that i saw a while ago was Silk Road Online. It looked like some pretty mad stuff, but i haven't heard anything of it since
I heard Lineage II sucks, Ryzom is boring, so I'll stick with FFXI until something good like EQ2 comes out ^^
