He did deserve it. Why go through all that trouble to shoot a dog when you can take them to a shelter? Seems like a win/win situation to me

argh hasn't met the guy, the journalists didn't put in a quote from the guy about why he did it, the generic "being mean to animals = bad" response is bullshit

If you actually read the article it says he could not find them a home. Now I dont see this as an excuse for killing the dogs, that is why mine has been spaded, but it may be better then droping them off on the side of the road like some losers do.

so you can't understand why the guy did it, therefore the guys wrong?

Yes that is my personal belief, but that matters for squat. I believe a pet owner has the responsibility to make sure they can take care of all their pets needs, even a litter of puppies. But at the same time I am not going to throw stones at a person for doing what they thought was the best action. A quick death would be preferable to abandonment for the pups to a slow death to starvation or to be hit by a vehicle.

I don't care what that guy's motives were, I think that shooting a dog to get rid of it is idiotic.

i think the word we are looking for is kharma.

That said the view that a dogs life if more important than a man <which is what Drac was ineptly driving towards in a round about fashion> is pretty rediculas.

That I'd rather not have them on the same Earth as me.

I have personally killed over 100,000 animals i am a veterinary technitian and was a euthanasia tech at a shelter. People do not care for there animals. Society as a whole believe it's other peoples problems. If you cant take care of the responsiblity spay or neuter your animals. This is sad but it happens alot and shelters are overcrowded as it is by idiots like the guy in the story.

You guys are so out of date, we over at the Asylum have TWO threads about this, both of which are old news and not even on the first page anymore.

I dont care that he couldnt find them a home. Obviously the man didnt look hard enough. Unless he lived in the complete middle of nowhere youre going to have a shelter within drving distance.

If you cant take care of more than the animals you have, get them neutered/spayed.

ROFLMAO!

Speaking of dogs, this dude was telling met his story of his old pitbull... It tried to bite off his sons hand, and he smashed a hammer over its head and the wooden handle part of the hammer broke and the dog attack him after being hit in the head. Eventually they just buried it alive after several atempts trying to kill it. I think they said they put some roofies or some **** in his food bowl, swear to god- true story.

Thats why you dont get Pit Bull. You get a German Shepard, or a Lab, or a Doberman, etc.

I didnt get one, thats some one elses story, not mine. I have a million pets, a pit bull is one I dont want around. I have an emu tho, ill bet you that could **** a pit bull up any day. It has 5 inch toes with razor sharp nails, you wanna **** with that? Plus its like 6ft tall!

I've been kicked by an emu. It's rough, but not rough enough to kill you by any means. Didn't knock the wind out of me, but it could have.

Personally, I find them to be one of the dumbest animals I've ever had the opportunity to deal with on a regular basis. We had one that pulled its own head off. Damn thing put its head through the crack by the fence gate (for whatever reason) and was startled by a loud noise. Snatch, run, ****....left my head!

It also walked around pecking the ground with its neck for about 15 minutes before it bled out good.

And people for some reason are surprised at how mesmerized they are by shiny objects.......
