Other studies I've read show that some people read word by word. This is a medium speed. Other's read phrase by phrase (aka idea by idea). This is an extremely fast reading speed. The less intelligent mass out there reads letter by letter. If you can not read that at all, you must be in this category. This is the slowest reading speed.
You forgot, some people cannot read at all. That is a shame, but it is true.

I found these studies while aking Jeeves "What is speed reading". It may sound sad, but I was looking for a way to increase my reading speed. And yes, argh, that is very unfortunate that some people can not read.
