I lived there from 1980-1982 while working (construction) at EPCOT. Lived in Orlando in an apartment complext on Creekwood Road.

Recently I drove past there while on vacation, what a dump that area is now :P

Anyway, I'm thinking of moving down there somewhere near Orlando and close to tech job areas. Does anyone have areas to suggest that are nice (no crappy houses) and kind of near high tech jobs?

Can you name some decent towns, average home prices in those towns and how far they are to IT jobs?

Also, the tax bracket, average median income, ratio of police to citizens, pollution index, heat index, Mayors of each town, and their mother's maiden names?

kthx

ROFL... im serious :)

Distance to high tech jobs and home prices will give a good idea of all the things you are asking :P If the avg home price is $500,000, you know for sure that the neighborhood won't be full of boarded up houses .

Union Jack

Confederate Flag

On second thought, maybe you and Central Florida deserve each other.

Why must you turn this simple post into a flamewar?

It wasnt a mistake, both flags actually symbolize the same thing (but for different countries)...

In any case, back to the topic.

PS: For a stupid man, I do pretty well making well over six figures as an engineer for 20+ years.

Ussually, when people say "Six figures" they're referring to a single year's income, not a culmalative total over 20 years.

Good for you, though! Trailer almost paid for?

Heh, pretty funny. Keep at the books, someday you can leave that burger flipping job and live in a 3/4 million dollar house like me :)

Why am I even bothering, you're from Atlanta, that pretty much sums up what your life is about.

Winterhaven Fl. is a nice place to live.

I grew up in Tampa about an hour away from there, i plan on moving there someday (winterhaven).

Basiccaly cost of living aint too bad, its a "small" town in 100 Lakes area basiccaly a bunch of lakes conected by channels realy nice town to live in if you have a family. Its aabout an hour to the gulf and 30min to Orlando, so you can boat, fish, go to theme parks, or the beach, all from the same place. If you take the Sunshine Pike (pay like 2 dollars) you can get just about anywhere in Fl in less then 1 1/2 hours, and its right outside of Winterhaven.

Lakeview is pretty much the same tyoe of town (never been there) but ists in 100 lakes so...I guess its the same.

Ok, let me s-p-e-l-l it out for you.

I live in San Francisco, CA as is plainly obvious in my posting from comment.

If you had any friends, reading comprehension would be one of them.
