i don't understand, let alone care for, politics. this will be the first year i'll be able to legally vote, so i'm wondering what the opinions are here. should i vote? and if so, for who?

yeah, it's good to get into the habit. As to who to vote for, make yourself a list of things that you feel strongly about.
Do you have thoughts one way or the other on the war in iraq? what about college education funding?

as for political controversies, i prefer to sit back and watch. i find them interesting, yet have absolutely no opinion for one way or another. my view of the iraq dealy is to get us out of there, and nuke them so we have nothing to worry or fret about. when i say get us out of there, i don't say that siding with anyone, i just say that because we have no reason to be destroyed by our own nukes. hmm, as for college funding, my parents are paying for my community college, but damn that's a lot of money for 2 classes (nearly $800). other than that i haven't really been paying attention to politics since i got outta high school and therefore have no contemporary world problems class.

if you dont vote.. ya cant ***** about the country's political situation cuz ya did absolutely nothing to affect it...

if you dont believe it, consider what would happen if everyone ever convicted of marijuana possesion in this country voted for the person that most protected your rights.

im in texas and people here get ten years for the smallest amounts you can imagine, so...

Even if you're undecided on the presidental election, there's probably state or local matters on the ballot as well. Things that you might feel have a more immediate impact.
