First of all, Smash, PJ is the ****. She is my all-time favorite female rocker/badass. I still have a copy of 8-track demos.

Second, Bhodisattva, we should hang out some time.

And, third, Jane's Addiction, The Pixies, DJ Shadow, KRS ONE, and the occassional Wu-Tang.

At this very moment,Magerine Eclipse - Stereolab

When I leave work, either No Said Date - Masta Killah or To Tha Xtreme- Devin the Dude

And I'm surprised ANYONE is listening to Tical 0. That **** is horrible.

Though I don't listen to that, erm, music, I had some rap on my list like Jurassic 5 and Deltron 3030 (though not quite the rap you had in mind probably)

Goth rock and all other sorts of rock of course.
Lacuna Coil
Incubus
Weezer
Linkin park
NFG
NOFX

Rap is an insult to black people. it reinforces the negative stereotype that they're all on drugs and all are in gangs. I refuse to listen to rap out of respect for Black people. which are really cool. and by really cool i mean totally sweet.

Add 1 more for Lacuna Coil. I met the band at Ozzfest last month. All of them were very cool and the videos do not do Cristina any justice. She is gorgeous in real life.

As for what is spinning right now in my CD player:

Melissa Auf der Maur

She rocks. Met her a week ago at the Curiosa festival.

also add to teh spinning list the new self titled album by The Cure The Cure

They?

Is there anyone that's been with The Cure for more than two albums aside from Robert Smith?

He should just change the name of the band to "Robert Smith and the Studio Musicians"

Don't be a ******. Just don't. Rap and Hip Hop are a reflection of a lifestyle shared by many, though pioneered primarily by African Americans. To say that the content of this reflection is an insult to the very people that create it is a pretty large insult. Thus, your whole "out of respect for black people" thing is *********

Try listening to some Hip Hop that you don't see on MTV or BET or whatever and you will witness a whole different presentation of the culture.

Btw… If you are some 12 year old kid, I apologize for busting your chops on this.

Rap is country with drum machines.

"I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die" -- Johnny Cash.

It's the same story with a diffrent beat.
