You might want to put this in a different forum.

where would he post it otherwise? i mean if he posts in a game forum he will get biased responses by the players of that game. Also, he never mentioned MMO so maybe he wants to know about single player rpg's. Personally i loved Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. Long live KOTOR!

Well, that's why we have this forum.

Yes, the other forum would be best, but if you are still looking, my three favorite off-line RPGs of all time (all availbile on either X-Box or PC) are Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Deus Ex 2: Invisible War (Very... "Different" RPG), and of course, you can't forget the mother of all off-line RPGs, THE ELDER SCROLLS III SERIES!!!

IF I had to choose, the best of those for the PC would be TES 3: Morrowind (and the two expansions), but the otehr two are great... though they do seem to be made for the X-Box....

The great thing about Morrowind on PC is that you can find TONS of mods, add-ons, and the like on the internet. I have some that insert empty mansions into the game that you can take over and decorate and use to display your weapons.

Although, what is the point of displaying your weapons if it is an offline game? Who's gonna see it?

FF7 and FF8 are on PC aren't they? I'm a true FF fanboi though so I tend to have a biased opinion :)

You could give neverwinter nights a shot the ability to build your own mods on your own is very unique considering the interface is very user friendly and the game is very enjoyable.

Well, if you decide to pick up Morrowind, definetly look for some fan-sites, since many of them hae VERY VERY good mods! My favorite site is www.gamersroam.com, but there are millions out there!!

So far, there is only one really good RPG on the PC and that was Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Now when the next one comes out, there will be two. Until then, that is probably the only RPG worth playing on the PC.

I used to a RPG boy all the way, then I got burned out on them pretty seriously. It seems all I can enjoy now are FPS games. I do find myself enjoying the scary games a bit too.

Needless to say, I am getting Doom 3 as soon as I get off work today.

It's been awhile since I was excited about a game release.

Favorite RPG of online has to be the complete Baldurs Gate series for PC from the original all the way through the Throne of Bhaal expansion. There are also a wide variety of excellent mods and gameplay enjoyment aside I think the plot line and character development and interaction is bar none.

I picked up Sacred after it came out back in April/May it is a great game looks great plays great. It is a Diablo clone with the whole aspect of the 3/4 view, hack/slash, customized player stats, and equipment some other things are there that I can't remember. What I really like about it....that is different than Diablo is that the world is all explorable not in Acts 1-4 like Diablo. But a whole world about 70% is given to you at the beginning much like an mmorpg. Try reading up on it you might come to enjoy this game.
