Not too while ago I enlisted in the US Air Force. I have sense completed BMT and currently attending Tech school. As you can figure people from all over the country are put together and stereotyping makes itself apparent.
I never realized what people really thought about Texas until recently. Some people were somewhat jealous it seems. They complained alot about the fact that Texas was once its own nation and that is the only state that flies the state flag even with the U.S. flag. Also, many people honestly thought that everyone in Texas rides horses.... I mean dam, please. Its 2004 there is more in Texas than cattle and horses. Not not everyone owns a horse, wears a cowboy hat, and drives a beatup Ford pickup that has seen better days. Some people have gone as far as to say they have the state and most of the people in it. Being a Texas Native I cant really understand them.
I just wanted to ask yall on you thoughts on "Texans"
(Stereotyping a bad thing? Im guilty of each of the things I listed. I live on a ranch, and have a 1988 F250 pushing 300k miles....)
