#3REDACTED, Posted: Jul 20 2004 at 4:17 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Wow, bicycle racing. Sorry, I'm still recovering from the mad crazy spelling bee. I won't be able to watch any sports for awhile.
#4REDACTED, Posted: Jul 20 2004 at 4:18 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I think he should ask for his other nut back if he wins though.

he didn't overcome... he's currently battling cancer still. He's on his 6th consecutive Tour De France victory, and to my knowledge, has been battling with it for quite some time. I believe the reason it is soo remarkable is because not only has he lasted longer than doctors gave him, but he's winning these extremely physically intensive events. If I'm wrong on any of my information, please correct me as I'd like to be enlightened a lil bit more on the subject than I am now.

Ok

Your are completely wrong.

He recovered from his cancer over 9 years ago, in fact his cancer is the reason he is the best rider in the world.

1. It reduced his body wieght considerably which allowed him to come down to the ideal wieght for a pro cycler, it would have been extremely hard for him to do this without the cemotherpy.

In fact this is the reason why Jan Ullrich has not lived up to his promice, he is just too heavy

2. Because of his treatment his body produces less lactic acid than the average human being, this allows him to push his body far harder than the rest of the riders.

This is why there has been so many rumours of drug abuse over the years. Unfounded i might add.

Admiration is good but blind admiration is not.
