I am deeply disturbed after reading through some of the adequacy posts...If I had any hope for humanity, that website destroyed it

That. Has. Got. To. Be. Fake. (The 2nd one)

If that's actually for real, whoever made that needs to have an XBox dropped on their head before they say it's a illegal model of laptops in disguise sold only on the Black Market, this being based solely on the fact it's got a hard drive that could be used to store hacker programs (Like Linux... OMG LOL) without you being able to find out it's there.

Geez, now I know why most of America is stupid. With teachers like that, no wonder everyone is screwed up.

It definetly had to be fake! Of course, it's still something I would expect from our school system.

the first one is true... I read it a while back... probably a year ago or so. If you look at the url, you can derive this article was printed June of 2000. Back then php was just beginning to become popular... so I wouldn't be surprised if some hicks thought it was drugs.

All I can say for the second, is if that is true, I can see whats wrong with the world today. If a parent takes that little interest into what their child is doing and just bashes and forbids it instead, there's no understanding and there's no dicipline... just abuse of power, which leads to resentment on the teens behalf. LMAO... any hackers wanna meet me on quake and talk about the DOS of the DoD?

I doubt that it's fake. America's schools know no limit to stupidity. I remember a story wherein a grade school child was punished for bringing his GI Joe doll - with a tiny plastic pistol - to school. Why? Because of their policy against guns. It wasn't even a toy gun, not a water pistol or cap gun, it could not possibly be mistaken for a weapon by anyone. It was about an inch long and suitable only for use as a weapon by GI Joe.

And there are lots of other similarly stupid reactions out there.
