I was looking to get into reading some of the star wars books. Some of the things i have heard in the game based on books sounds really cool. Anyone out there have a book they read that they thought was really good? I am mainly looking for stuff with jedi, but then again, what else is star wars :)

I think my favorites were the ones by Timothy Zahn, the Thrawn trilogy:

The Last Command
The first couple books of the rogue squadron series were fun, i never touched the new jedi order books, anything by Kevin J. Anderson should be avoided.

Bode - 100 Holy Paladin - Lightbringer
Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpool's stuff is by far the best. Followed maybe by alan dean foster. Skip Kevin J. Andersons crap entirely. The later ones have tended to really suck in my opinion as well.

I'd probably agree with Kao and bhod in general. People especially seem to enjoy Zahn's stuff.

Kaolian speaks truth. Of course the Star Wars crap he wrote pales in comparison to the Dune series he put out with Brian Herbert. Now that was an atrocity, words cannot describe what a steaming pile of horse ***** that was. I would rather be forced to watch Gigli followed by Glitter followed by a Hanson Concert with Carrot Top as my tag along "friend" than have to come into contact with one of those books again.
Those two should be sterilized and have the offending digits that typed the heresy that is the dune prequels hacked off with a dull and rusty hack saw.

Was always partial to the 4th book of the x-wing series, the bacta war I believe it was.
