Coach K with the LakersFollow

I hate the Blue Devis.
I hate the Lakers.

Coach K can fall into the ocean with the rest of LA when the biggin hits. It would be fitting. In the immortal words of Maynard James Keenan:

I wanna see it all come down!
suck it down!
flush it down!

Personally, I'd like to see it, because the the first time The Rapist looks at Special K funny when a play is called and he's not The Man, then goes out and does his own thing (after jacking up 60 shots in this game alone) by clapping his hands to get the attention of the inbound ball handler and attempting yet another off balance twelve-feet-behind-the-three-point-line desperation shot-- then we'll see K grimace and grind his teeth at the thought he gave up everything to work for this egotistical kid.

That'd be funny.

Breaking news!

This just in, Special K has turned down the Fakers' coaching offer. In other news, George Karl is rumored to be considering a lesser offer from Buss.

College coaches never succeed in the NBA because they're far too accustomed to having their players listen to them. If Coach K and Shavlik Randolph (or however you spell it) have a dispute, who's gonna have to give?

A former college coach won the title this year. Larry's been around in the NBA awhile, but he's had great success at both levels. The other thing to take into consideration is what kind of team is the coach going to? Patino went to a team that has been in a tailspin pretty much since Len Bias died. While they did later have success with some of the parts he put together, that was a terrible team when he got there. Same for Lon Krueger. What are you going to do with the Atlanta Hawks? Or the Bulls in the case of Tim Floyd?

There's few opportunities that come along to coach in the NBA for a team that has a chance at winning. The Lakers still do. I'm sure K thought about it pretty hard before turning it down.
