Problems getting PS2 online, please help.Follow

I've had my network adaptor now for over a year and a half, and its barely gotten any use because of problems. I use a DSL connection, and I use that box thing to hook up both my comp. and my PS2 up to the internet. Thing is, when all is said and done, the PS2 works fine, but the internet goes down the drain on my comp. Anything I could be doing wrong here? I know that the wireless connectors can shut down the comps connection, but I'm not using wireless. Someone help me out, I want PS2 online. ;_;
