Right now I fence for the U.S.A. I've been to some North American world cups. This last years world cup made it clear that I would like to fence for Canada. (There are no rules about living in the country you fence for) At the last world cup I had to fence agianst both Canada, US and one guy from Germany. The Canadians had the best sportsmanship that I have ever seen in the sport. That day my equipment happened to be right by where the Canadian team had theirs. I quickly found myself laughing and have a wonderful time just talking to them. The five of them happened to be the nicest group of fencers I have met so far at world cups. A couple of weeks ago I go to another comp. (it's a bit smaller then the cups) Some Canadians I'd never seen before showed up. Agian they had the best sportsmanship.
....If I joined the Canadian Fencing league I'd be able to compete in both U.S. and Canadian world cups. (More fencing YAY!) I was just wondering what all of your thoughts are about something like this.
(Please don't burn me to badly. Ilove the US and still compete in the USTA and haven't thought about another country for that sport....just fencing)

Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

If you have olympic aspirations, you'll want to look into residency requirements for Canada before you make the choice.

It would really be a downer to miss a shot at the olympics because you're stuck in residency limbo.

Well, you'd get to fence with Sherry MacKay and have your *** kicked by a woman, so you have that going for you.

Men's Epee is the Canadian National team's weakest event easily. I say go for it!

Why not try defecting to Iraq and let us know how it goes? I hear they have a great fencing team or was that firing squad.

I think you should fence for Canada and then "fall on your sword" when you go up against an American. It's the patriotic thing to do.
