Ok I am trying to play ffxi on my ps2 I haven't bought the game yet but first I want to make sure my net works. I have a ethernet cord and i plug into my ps2 and put in phone jack like your supposed to do. I set up all my info. but whenever I try to log in it says like connection error or something. I make sure no one is on the phone and I don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP. I know this has probablly been adressed before but please any useful tips or anything would be greatly appreciated.

Ok, the PS2 NA is set up to recognize either the ethernet or the phone cord. You need to either plug one or the other in. If you run a home network and use broadband internet (cable modem, DSL, etc) use the ethernet cable and hook it up to your router. If you use a dial-up service, use the phone cord ONLY and go through the process of setting up a dial-up connection using the NA software.
