I understand that this site has to make money, and I understand ads, but why not an ad at the top of the site, or on the right hand side, or maybe just one popup instead of two or three that flood my screen...and that goddamn side scrolling one. I can't ALT-ESC it, I have to wait for it to stop then manually close it.
It's getting really annoying. Buy some Premium accounts; donate cash. Help fight popups :(

Try using the Mozilla Firefox browser, it has a built in pop up blocker that works great:)
Or you could bike up to Michigan, pick up 34 pop bottles on the side of the expressway. Turn em in for 10 cents a piece and buy a karkin premium membership...

How is the google toolbar? I kind of like having internet explorer as a backup(always good to have a backup:) but I need a good pop up blocker for it.

Yes, the program contains software that phones home. I stand by my original statement. Also be aware that they can change any of their policies at any time and automatiacally and silently update the toolbar to reflect the new policy without your knowledge.

Google Toolbar specifically states that it takes information from you if you enable advanced features, it's no secret. Just don't enable it, and it works like a charm. Haven't seen a pop-up in months, and the "highlight" and "find on page" buttons rock.

www.popswatter.com Real easy to use, comes with a few features that don't activate themselves if you decide not to use 'em. IE Games, an automatic Highlighter, etc. Only drawback is it is sponsored by mywebsearch.com, and so if you don't go to a search site it will use their websearch. Otherwise it's fine.

This is THE best spykiller I've found, will get rid of Gator/Tracking cookies/Dialers, etc. Great if you often surf in the more mature waters of the intarweb. And....GETS RID OF GATOR! No other spykiller I've found killed the stupid reptile as efficiently as this one does.
