Your first Karma TrollFollow

#1 Jun 23 2004 at 1:39 AM Rating: Decent
It seems like I have my first karma troll. And surprise surprise, they're over in the FFXI forum.

It seems someone doesn't appreciate my humor...meh.

Does anyone else remember their first troll, and what they rated you down for?

I had someone go through every post I made on the forum, and then into my hournal, rating everything down to Awful. It dropped me .18 points. FFXI forumgoer.

We were discussing some oddball tactics, and he came in and basicly called all of us stupid, so I told him to shut up, since he was 40 levels below the level needed to do the tactic anyway,

Back when I first got here, my karma got camped.

Guess that is why mine stays around where it is nowadays.

Not that it matters, Karma is a joke.

Each and every one of you could mindlessly de-rate every post of mine you could find and it wouldn't move my number one iota. I have so many posts, and from so long ago my numbers are immutable even if you all were dumb enough to try. 11,000 posts, 9,500 of which are inaccesible to you for karma camping means I am untouchable.

Not that I care.

/shrugs

If I find my posts have low numbers it just means I am doing a good job trolling you. It makes me smile.

I'm on my second or third now. You just have to outlast them.

You can always complain about it in the Site Feedback Forum, or the third option is to create a second screen name and rate yourself up.

I just ignore them, but I have a lot more posts worth of padding than you. I'd suggest putting in a complaint. They look at who is rating you down and see if there is a pattern. Then, if there is a specific person doing this to you, they take away the person's ability to rate, and attempt to fix the damage done, by rating the posts in question back up.

I wasn't complaining, I was just amused by how ****** the karma system is.

It's kinda like Communism; it was a nice idea, but it won't work because people are asshats.

I just wanted to see if there were any funny stories out there.

Speaking of asshats... its time for the Avatar off asshattedness. Oh, btw thats why I get camped. I don't think I'm camped, just that every person rates me down because my posts are meaningless and redundant, BUT NOT AS REDUNDANT AS YANARI. ahhaeh..

Yeah I make fun of people that have lived on the boards for awhile. *scratches head*

You would think ppl would have something better to do than follow your trail of posts all over the damn place. Then again you would think I would have something better to do than post on here all day.

I have no idea why Deano has fixated on me, but it's pretty creepy.

I think mine got camped a while back, went from like 3.35 to 3.20. It is slowly climbing up, not like it matters to me anymore.

I'm fixated on YOU sweetheart, NOW, for two reasons!

One, because you remind me of my ex ex's best friend. Erin Collings from Andover, MA. That girl is so dry with her humor, and so redundant with most of her comments, I can just picture the both of you female Ben Steins. Not to say you aren't witty from time to time... :)

TWO, 'cause a faceless poster on your message board always saying the same thing (PLAGUE OF REDUNDANCY) about your posts can creep you out. lol

PS Thanks for not using the word "jab" in your post.

Yes back to the point, that's why I have low Karma.
Toodles!

Redundant, as in, consistant with our opinions and our methods of expressing them? I'm certainly not the only poster who fits that description (oh yeah, you all know who you are.)

So.... you would find a more schizophrenic posting style more entertaining?

I could go for hysterical.

Relentlessly beligerant.

Slack-jawed.

Super chipper!

Jocular and compliant.

I know dry humor can be a killer on message boards. No vocal intonations or eyebrow tweaking to give you clues. Smiley: wink2

I use the term "jab" only where it seems appropriate, of course. Your discomfort with the word could possibly indicate another psychosis you may wish to discuss with your mental health care provider.

Well to begin I guess I am kind of lucky, I do not have a Karma Troll! But I guess that could be also a bad thing because the main reason I have no Karma Troll is because whenever I see one I always end up hunting him down and shooting him with marbles from my slingshot!! or maybe it is just because this is my first time posting on the board and I havent given the chance to get one yet! :)

Why would you shoot marbles from a slingshot? Not only are they much less likely to do damage than an average sized sharp edged rock, they are significantly more expensive, and its much easier to track down the guy with a pocket full of marbles.
