Earthlink - Why Don't They Understand Me!Follow

#1 Jun 16 2004 at 2:05 AM Rating: Decent
I was wondering why when I call Earthlink customer support I only get Indians that speak very broken English.

...it's because Earthlink customer service is in India!!!

I guess it's really cheap for them to go overseas, but at least give them some English classes. I (in fact) am a first generation Indian (which means my parents are from there, but I was born in the US), even I didn't understand what the hell they were saying...

...and here's the proof why Earthlink sucks so hard.

Learn Hindi then. I just speak to them in Hindi and they get all confused and flustered.

Of course, that's just when I'm bored, I can't picture calling tech support.

Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

India is the call center capital of the world. They have people freshly graduated from medical school working in those places, just because it's so hard to get work in India.

Just now figuring out that Earthlink sucks?

I ...ah... Never have a problem with my Earthstink account. Had more problems with Comcrap. The 3 mb downstream means nothing if you get no e-mail for days, random drops and laggy traffic from Friday to Sunday.

In both cases, it may have much to do with where you live and the specific group within Earthlink/Comcast providing service and support.

Your mileage may vary, action features sold seperately, some assembly required.
