I read the article in Men's Health.

Unreal that he lived through it. He went from around 180 to 210 by the end of it. Not to mention his cholesterol was throught the roof!

I would love to get my hands on the DVD, looked real interesting.

OK OK I'll comment. Yeah I could not imagine eating that crap for 3 straight meals let alone a friggin month. That guys must have felt pretty damn foul after that experience. Its like that David Blain guy living in a box over London Bridge for a month. The torture he must have felt.

he was trying to prove a point and win the Sundace film festival for the original idea.

Either that or it was a cry for help and no one listened.

So, it's kind of like Jared turns to the dark side?

"Jared, Jared, I am your father. Would you care to super-size that?"

Yeah kinda like that, but people can understand what he is trying to say.

What is his case? I never heard of that.

And fast food joints never advertise a warning to only eat their food once a day or week. So I think he will have a pretty good case.

No one should be able to sue because they are stupid enough to eat at McDonalds that much, their keeper should of known enough to stop them. I have also never seen Mcdonalds advertise that their food (not salads) as healthy, or that it wont raise your cholesterol. Plus they guy intended to do this to himself to prove his point, so it was his fault not anyone elses.

One of my good friends worked at McDonalds previously. Suffice it to say he refuses to eat there now. I don't blame him and don't want to know what goes into their food. My two cents.

I tied a shoelace around my wifes neck and she died. There was no warning on the shoelace.

Should I sue?

I think he is a damn @#%^ing moron trying to make a quick buck and I hope he dies.

There have been months where I eat McD's everyday, some people's bodies just cant handle it, don't @#%^ing take away my choice to get a supersize meal because some fat@#%^ cant stay away from the Drivethrough.

I'm sure your are fit as a fiddle.

I read the whole article on it and never once heard about this lawsuit...I think it might just be a publicity stunt.

And I'm sure that somewhere there is a warning about tying the shoelace around vital parts of the body...like suntan lotion has a "for extrenal use only" warning.

#1 I actually never heard about this until I read this thread. It makes sense to me now, as every McDonald's I have been to in the New York area does not have Super Size fries anymore, only drinks. I guess they felt the pressure from the movie or something. Hmmph, people know what they're getting into when they eat there, so it's their own fault.

#2 I worked at McDicks for 4 years when I was in high school so I guess I can squash the rumors. First off, their beef is really beef. Second, do not eat the Fish Filet. Just think how a hotdog is made:) Third, they really do make the salads fresh every morning. Fourth, before 2000, you could get a hamburger with meat that was prepared 8 hours ago (ya, I have used old meat, I was lazy as a teenager and didn't feel like cooking up any more). Fifth, surprisingly (even to me when I started), the eggs are real eggs, not that liquid stuff.

There are so much other things that I can't list right now as my boss will be coming into the office soon (funny how he comes in later, leaves earlier, and gets paid more).

Wow thats interesting info. I don't really eat there but if I did it would make me feel better about it.

AND I don't think this guys is filing suit against McD's. Its the parents of some kids stating that the food their made them fat. Its pretty damn stupid that people can sue food manufacturers, distributors and restaurants because their damn kids are fat. Here's an idea....Don't feed the fat little &$(@&@$ McD's everyday.

exactly, and as people said he did it to himself on purpose. he should have no case in trying to sue. oh yea got something that kinda goes with this http://www.illwillpress.com/ranttwo.html i thought it was pretty good, but if you're offended by language, don't watch it. the beginning of it is about the whole mcdonalds case.
