Hey guys this may seem like a stupid question but I was on the Square-Enix site and I couldn't find any mention of any of the older Final Fantasy games. The only ones I could find mentions of where FFX (Suck a$$ compared to the older ones) and FFXI. DOes anybody have any information as to what happened to the rights to the older games? Just curious if anyone knows. Thanks!

I have seen some of the more recent FF games still at stores like Best Buy and the like. I know that I've seen FFVII, FFVIII and FFIX, and if you really want to spend the money, they released FFIV and FFV as "Final Fantasy Anthology". Also, FFVI and Chrono Trigger were released together as "Final Fantasy Chronicles".

I highly recommend Chronicles, if just for Chrono Trigger. That is one of the best RPG's I've ever played.

I own the original FF for nes. FF3 for snes and both the chronicles and anthologies. I agree with Twizted, the chronicles are worth it if just for Chrono Trigger. I also own the original FFT.

You know I always did like Crono Trigger up until recently when I started playing it again as a .rom thingy. It is a great story and the music is really good...decent characters but its the battle system that bugs me. I don't like the Techs and the Duel and Triple Techs. That and you can't control what character learns what.

Given the game was made along time ago and I'm prolly just spoiled by the games of today.

FF3 for SNES will forever be my favorite game of all time.

Yup I have FF1,2,3,7,9,X, and 11. I did own eight at one point in time but it went the way of AOL discs and ended up being one fine looking beer coaster (or 4 rather)

I don't own any really old FF. I own FF7 and FF8 my two favorites. Played some of the older ones on the PS1 with the "Anthology" and "Chronicles." Pretty good...

I would have to agree with you on that one...actually come to think of it, the only reason I still have my SNES is because of FF2 and FF3...sigh...I miss those days...

FF2 and 3 are my favorites too! I dont care about the graphics in FF2 I really cared about the characters. I'm half tempted to start a female on my server named Rydia just to take it back!
