In general, they're much smoother than most other cigars. You can definately get a ****** Cuban though. The whole Cuban mysique is a lot of crap if you ask me.
Having smoked the occasional Montechristo while not in the US, I'm not sufficently impressed to buy into the hype. I'd take a decent Macanudo over most Cuban offerings.

I got pretty sick smoking a Romeo y Julieta or something like that.

I enjoy Macanudo, but my fav has to be:
Cohiba.
But yeah, I haven't found Cubans to be overly strong.

The main thing that makes a Cuban cigar different from those made in the states is that, in Cuba, they actually use some marijiana mixed with the tobacco. So, I'm sure that experts liked the taste of Cubans best

I've smoked Cohiba and Romeo y Julieta, both Cuban. My Dad used to get them from the Bahamas until the gov found out about it so he had to stop binging em. The draw is a bit smoother but I think you need to be a real conesseur (have no idea how to spell that) to tell a distinct difference. Yes I can tell the difference between a Dominican and Cuban but there are some subtle nuances that are tough to tell. I actually prefer a nice Partigas in a humatube over any other Cig.

heh...I was given the scpeel before I started. I think my problem was that they were kinda dry and so when I cut the tip it got all jacked up and I had to suck really hard to keep it lit.
I ended up going on shift after that sweating and shaking...trying not to puke on my computer. Good day overall.
The strongest cigars are the ones coated with the Monica varnish. Been known to break entire presidencies, dontchaknow?
