What should i call my male Rottweiler? Ideas?Follow

Thats cool thats what my Male Dobermans name is going to be. (He has not even been thought of in my puppies mind yet, we are breeding her in her 3rd "heat.") Good luck with him, my friend has a Rott also so watch out, they get vicious.

And.. Rotts have a bad rep that is not entirely deserved. Just get some good obedience training with him as he's growing up and you should be fine with him. :)

Dogs are only evil if the owner abuses them or makes them evil. We used to have a Rott and it was great with kids. Very careing and would follow them around when they would crawl off. Then EAT them! no not really.

Malachi or Zechariah (i always liked biblical names)

Single syllable names are better for dogs. Much easier to understand when yelled loudly. Of course, you probably won't be yelling at this one too much (not a hunting dog), so most anything is good.

instead of "demon" how about Hitler?Stalin?SARS? Geez,name your dog something nice,a dog is a part of your family for years to come.

The best name for a dog (this is my mates dog) is Dave, has anybody else got a dog called Dave? I dont think so...

As a Rottweiler owner and lover of the breed in general I urge you to go with a name other then something like Demon, Mauler, Killer. It is hard enough already trying to uphold the good name of Rottweilers with all the idiot owners out there who raise their dog to be mean. Names like Demon, Mauler, Killer and what not further push the stereotype of an evil breed. That is not publicity that Rottweilers need as all the dog fighting, uneducated, low life morons out there ruining the name of Rottweilers are more then taking care of running the breeds name into the ground already.

Flame all you want, but owning a Rottweiler carries with it a responsibility unlike many other breeds. It is our job as owners to make the dogs life as good as possible. In addition with a Rottweiler you are either helping the breed name by good raising or ruining the breeds name by giving the impression of a mean and evil breed. A Rottweiler does not need to be called Killer to make him protect your family and household.
