recording FFXI :: World of Warcraft

hey, i have a couple questions. i am interested in making final fantasy XI videos. there is only one thing stopping me. you guessed it, the recording of FFXI. is there a legal program that allows me to "tape" what is going on in final fantasy XI? Or maybe a program that tapes what my moniter is viewing? please help me....thanks

All I know it is that it isnt illegal to make videos from games. It is illegal to make profit from it. Because I know 2 people who do so. Here are the links:

Both are pretty good, Muffinstump is actual movies and WTFcomics is well comics... Have luck and make it into a website... althought I hate FFXI I am willing to help anyone with technical troubles... Oh yeah, If you need help on a website just ask!

SirStellerex you can A) use S-video and record it on to a DV tape
B) use Fraps
C) take lots of screen shots =P....well maybe not

This may also work if your video card has s-video out.

Get a TV capture card for your computer with S-video in.
loop the video card output to the TV capture card. Watch on screen.

Somehow the loop seems like it would open up a wormhole or something, but may work. I have this setup, just don't have the svideo cable so can't try it.
