/sigh

This reminds me. I was driving through Wisconsin today, and I couldn't decide which grocery store is better. Pick-n-Save or Piggly Wiggly.

Pick-n-Save.

As far as I know, Piggly Wiggly doesn't have a liquor department.

Eh, it's not like the region the Wal-Mart is going in is covered with quaint boutiques, malt shoppes and cobblers who are going to be driven out of business. Nor is it like Wal-Mart would be the first chain store in the City or anything; I'm sure the people there are already going to the Walgreens or CVS, to Jewel/Osco or Dominicks, etc. I hate Wal-Mart as much as the next guy, but I don't see this being a big thing.

Now, if they start building Wal-Marts up by the Gold Coast, let me know so I can be properly suprised Smiley: grin

Wal-Mart? Walmart? WalMart? Wal Mart? Zayre? -- whatever

Maybe it is due to the fact that I was raised in Michigan, but K-Mart is way better than Wal-Mart.

I dont shop at mom-and-pop stores anymore because I enjoy my products more when they are not covered in a half inch of dust.

That must be why the stock does so well.
