Tennis is actually really tough. That is why by age 30 most men are over the hill and near retirement.

Okay Sing. Tennis is more demanding than baseball? Try throwing a ball as hard as you can 80 times in 2 hours. While your at it you can pick up a bat that is 3 inches in diameter and attempt to hit a baseball that is coming at you over 90 mph and curving.

No, it's not. Not even vaguely close. More physically demanding maybe, if that's what you meant. When you become a hall in fame tennis player for returning one in three serves let me know.

To make a long story short, I don't take any responsibility for anything I post here. It's not news, it's not truth, it's not serious. It's parody. It's satire. It's bitter. It's angsty. Your mother's a *****. You like to jack off dogs. That's right, you heard me. You like to grab that dog by the bone and rub it like a ski pole. Your dad? Gay. Your priest? Straight. **** off and let me post. It's not true, it's all in good fun. Now go away.

ok 80mph for a few hours. ok, now make that 120-140mph for 3-6hrs, then on top of that add running close to 10-20miles in that same time. all of that running in short bursts no more then 50ft. constant stop and go.

now tell me baseball, standing around with a stick up your butt is more demanding then tennis?

yeah hitting that ball maybe hard, arguably one of the hardest things in sports, but that is only a very very small part of the game. there are 10 other players on that field.

tennis is 1 on 1 for 2-6hrs non-stop action. baseball can not compair, never will.

not to mention baseball players are a bunch of wimps. plane and simple. they pitch a fit and go on strike to make more money, then a few years later do it again, now they are the highest paid babies in the world that refuse to take to the field due to gnats.

sorry no respect for lame cry babies that will not play a game they are getting hundreds of millions of dollars to play because of some bugs.

go find a real sport.

Alright. Might as well throw in my Smiley: twocents

Tennis is for pansies. Except Agassi and MacEnroe(sp?). They owned!

Baseball is the most goddamned boringest sport right up there with golf and cricket.

Football is a real sport! Rugby's right behind it. Sumo is a close third. There's nothing like just getting down and dirty and slamming the **** out of somone! Yeah!

Yeah, I said it! So what?

So, how many people have been killed by getting hit in the head or chest with a tennis ball? I guess its a lot since you see so many tennis players wearing hard shell helmets on the court.

One tennis match may be more physically demanding than one baseball game, but tennis players don't play six times a week all summer.

Aaah, what you're looking for is ice hockey. Now that's a rough sport... steel blades, flying sticks, rock hard pucks flying at you at over 100 mph.

Sing, you said tennis is harder than baseball and that is what i was arguing, but if you want to get into physically demanding sports then look no further than wrestling or swimming. Both sports use nearly every muscle in the body.

By Wrestling do you mean Greco-Roman wrestling or TV Wrestling? Both are physically demanding.
Now onto Baseball. Running bases, sliding, catching fly balls, pitching, hitting. Yes Baseball is demanding. In short bursts.
Tennis is as physically demanding as Football or Soccer without the punishment of hitting the ground. Long sustained stop-and-run. Rapid turning and twisting. And Just because they have maybe 1 tournament a week or so don't think they arn't practicing every day just like Football players who play 1 day and practice 5-6.
Hockey is very hard. Not only for the fast skating and rough slaming, pushing and puck slapping. You try speeding on skates, getting rammed into a wall, then falling on solid ice. See if the fall doesn't hurt too.
Rugby is insane. It's like Football without the rules or TV timeouts. Just run, kick the living crap out of anyone on the field and keep running. In Austrailia if you break a leg from playing and complain about it they call you a wimp and ridicule you. They expect you to play with broken faces, legs, arms, missing heads, whatever. That's a tough sport.
The toughest without a doubt? Synchronized Water Ballet.
You try getting all those fat ladies lined up in a pretty circle and making it look like a blooming flower. Sheesh.
Ok water polo is hard too. But only because horses can't swim well.

My favorite men's Tennis player was John McEnroe. Female was Arantxa Sanchez Vicario. The bulldog of tennis. Not only for her playing style. But....well..she's not the prettiest thing on the court.
