I was just in the Main FFXI Forum and read a post about someone leaving because the Forum has become stagnant(repeat posts, ppl not using search. etc). Personally I really dont have a problem with ppl posting repeat subjects. In my mind I just tell myself they are:
1. New to the forum, and dont know search exists (hell, I'm
new to it myself and didnt use search until recently.)
2. Lazy and just dont want to search(not really an
excuse but I understand what we all get lazy.)
Anyhow I was sad to see this person go as I enjoyed many of their posts. For any of you that care to respond I'd be glad to hear your opinions on this as well.

Only one thing to say. LOL
It is the main reason I have lost patience for the inane people that make up the majority of the population of the EQ main forum. You can only see so many How do I make quick cash posts on the main page before you begin to search the top desk drawer for a pistol.
FFXI forum extremely bad for repeat posts, or just people that are just plain stupid as sin.
Case in point of post that is stupid as sin and repeat is the constant talk of up coming expansion in fall. Square Enix stated strictly that they not focusing on adding new jobs or races but more of a content boost by adding new areas, quests and abilities.
Of course every single day you have some half wit posting about how a guy they work withs, friends, cousin heard that they gonna come out with Blue Mage.
I have been posting on FFXI forums since October and i remember first post when bunch of us joking around about what would be neat jobs, someone mentioned Blue Mage, between here and there it has gone through the rounds and changed from fun guess to assumed fact, Square Enix has never ever ever ever said anything about it, and no gaming industry news has ever mentioned it.
Of course if you point out a simple thing like this how ever nicely you will get your Karma blasted and flamed, i got the same treatment in October when i made claim that we wouldnt see another expansion until next fall, not march like they were claiming, of course now we know its not coming out till next fall so i get to gloat :)
