If I were a premium user, I'd be able to answer. However, I am a mooch and a leech, so.. I can't. :) I'm sure someone else will, though. :)

Click on Your Account. On that page is a link that says Your Files. Click on that and upload the image there. Then go back to the Your Account page and there's a place there to choose an avatar. Choose the pic you just uploaded and hit save.

Ok, you figured it out, so maybe you can help me figure it out. I did all the things the other guy told you to do and it still didn't work... Do the avatars only show up in forums? Or will I see it in my account? Or maybe i have to have so many posts before they will show up??

If you're asking whether they show up when you read people talking about rusty daggers in the equipment lists, no they don't. Forums only.
