It's possible, and I've seen other bards do it, but I just can't @#%^ing land it. He resists every time. That spell, and only that spell.

Is there some trick? Should I be /BLM so I can elemental seal? My general gear build is already heavy on macc (I can land Paralyze with my WHM subjob), my wind skill has been capped since a week after I hit 99, and I'm using 95 Ghorn, so I haven't been macroing in any threnody specific pieces.

How are some others able to land it, whereas I fail every fricking time?

Hmm... land Dark Threnody first, and use the resist-down effect to land Light Threnody after? Stack 5/5 Merits on Troubadour?

Using the accuracy boost from Troubadour would be the best bet really without sacrificing your subjob.

Uptala is undead (Drain/Aspir don't work) and therefore probably has extreme resistance to dark.

Basically your land rate on it is probably gonna be floored no matter what you do, unless you have Troubadour or Elemental Seal active.
