So last night I was on my bard for farming seals, cards, and coins. I seem to keep being stuck in this job, which is no big deal, it's just not fun unless your are the fisherman.
My problem is this. When I leveled bard it was to only be a pulling/exp machine, so landing therondy was never a thought in my head. Now I am 90 and trying to land procs, it's driving me crazy.
So last night I decided it was time for me to get bard papers and get gear for it. My questions are this. What are the diffrences in the instruments, which are best for enfeebles, and what is the best way to land enfeebles on high tier mobs?
I use Devouer, MM, and Merciless matriarch for atmas.

Song accuracy on bard is affected by skill level, Chr and by gear with magic accuracy. Ensure that your singing skill and wind skill are capped.
Picollo +1 gives threnody +2 but I think that just affects the duration, not the accuracy. Sorrowful harp gives threnody +3 but wind instruments have higher accuracy than string so stick with the Picollo.
Use any gear that can give you extra magic accuracy, in particular, HQ elemental staffs. If you also have a mage job, you should have these anyway. Combine these with a set of grips if you have the budget and inventory space. Each elemental grip gives MAcc +2.
You're already using Merciless Matriarch which has superior Magic Accuracy. You could also add Atma of the Ultimate which also has superior Magic Accuracy
If you are having trouble still, you can first sing enchanting and bewitching etudes on yourself to boost charisma.
Or, you can screw all of the above and just sub blm.

So the singing skill is what I need to cap..... Thats one thing I need. Also Didnt know the wind instruments were the better choice! Thanks for the reply man.

Is this true? I thought that was debunked a while ago assuming all skills are capped and any +song from instruments aren't taken into account.

Incorrect. In regards to magic accuracy, Wind Skill and String Skill provide the same amount of magic accuracy. The reason it was believed String Skill is worse is due to lots of reasons (more Wind Skill gear available, aspiring BRDs aiming for ghorn builds, etc). Tests have been done to compare Wind Skill gear against String Skill gear and there was no measurable difference between the two when the builds are similar.
Though as noted at the bottom of that thread, no source for those tests were given.

My understanding is that stringed instruments are longer range which is obvious and that wind are more accurate. The link you provided states "tests have been done .." but doesn't offer links to those tests, even when asked later in the thread. My experience with horde lullaby is that it does make a difference. Maybe it's placebo but I'd stick with the Piccolo.
