Considering how many BLMs I know outright refuse to do that*, I'm surprised you can find a willing one.
*I've done it. I've never met another BLM that's agreed to do it, though.

The only blm's I've met who won't /BRD for grellow are the ones who don't have /BRD. I know they hate it though, as it really limits the job, although I like having a March put on me even if it is only a small amount of haste.

Eheh, yeah I definitely wouldn't say I ENJOY being /BRD. But I'd much rather get the yellow proc than be /RDM.

I haven't picked up my brd in years, so I have no idea what to do as brd in abyssea. What is procing a mob? Sorry, Didn't want to take brd to abyssea and not know what to do.

For exp parties, you'll be doing the same sort of stuff as always. Buffing party, sleeping adds, helping cure, etc.
When people mention procing they are talking about NM weaknesses (these): By finding the NMs magic weakness you up the drop rate on seals used to upgrade AF3

I like to BLM/BRD, it takes the pressure off of me to solo for pops or single-handedly maintain the group's time remaining because they're newbies/gimps/idiots who can't do their jobs properly.
