There's some new info out now about the finer details on the Augments Songs bonus on the BRD Empyrean+2 gear.

Most people already know that some songs provide stat bonuses (INT, DEX, STR, etc) on certain songs. The stat given is based on the element of the song, and the amount given is based on how many pieces you wear (2 pieces = +1, 3 = +2).

What was recently confirmed (by a reputable source) is that some songs are augmented in different ways.

Here is what is reported:

Sentinel's Scherzo - 2 Pieces - Raises the amount of damage reduced by severe attacks (more than +75% of your HP) to -95%. No change when third piece is added.

Elemental Carol II - 2 Pieces - Changes "Sometimes nullifies damage" to 100% chance. No change when third piece is added.

Goes without saying, this is pretty epic. It can easily turn some difficult fights into walks in the park, fix PLD (or break it by not requiring one), allow BRD to survive hard hitting attacks, and (in some cases) solo NMs.

Hot damn. I can't wait to get the rest of them, particularly because it's a safe assumption that we are going to get all 8 of them, unlike with Barspells.

The last time I tried employing my BRD for Carol whoring was against Cuelebre, whose damaging attacks consist entirely of earth-based damage. It's going to be funny to be able to cast one song and make him 100% harmless (ignoring the fact that a RDM can take him out alone relatively easily)

Wouldn't that basically mean BRD would become 100% invincible and could just chip away at anything, even most the toughest HNM's? BRD could make a pty invincible too.

Sounnds like a fk-up on SE's part that they'l fix in next update (or even a lil later if they don't know yet). Until then every BRD should be tryingto get 2x +2 pieces and treating 2-3 friends & themselves to Emp weapons.

I'm trying to convince my ls to spam +2 NMs for our resident brd since this is huge, and one of them said they heard the bonuses had been adjusted recently. Can anyone confirm/deny that for me please?

I don't know about you, but as soon as I got my 2nd +2 piece, I farmed up about a dozen Hrosshvalur ki and capped my LS on Sedna.

You have to admit, while it was awesome as hell, it broke the game.

Couldn't it be that we now need the full set for the bonus to take effect? or has this been tested?
